Allett's most popular cultivation cartridge, the 14" Scarifier cartridge is made to get rid of thatch, surface detritus, and dead moss. Before mowing, this cartridge also aids in lifting lateral growth upright.
By allowing air and water to permeate the soil surface, the scarifier's unique design keeps your lawn surface healthy and disease-free. This cartridge's interchangeable spinning tines are built to easily remove dead grass and moss so that nutrients can easily enter the soil.
This cartridge can be used for the majority of the year without concern for damage to maintain proper thatch levels and to gather leaves in the autumn. The spinning spring tines are reasonably soft on the grass. Where tree roots may be close to the surface, safe cultivation is made possible by the use of the spring tine. This cartridge is the best option for those new to lawn cultivation because it won't likely cause damage if set too deeply and will produce excellent results with regular application.
