Steel that has been tempered and ground makes up the bottom blade and the 24" 10-blade cutting cylinder. A 10 blade has an advantage over a 6 blade in that it makes a finer cut, which increases precision. Golf and cricket, two sports played on good turf, are ideal for this cylinder. You must mow at the lower cut heights if you want to get a golf green finish. The normal 6-blade cartridge won't be fine enough to get the desired results at lower cut heights. By installing this cartridge, the clip rate rises from 79 to 131 cuts per metre.
Using a rotating cylinder comprised of many curved blades and one stationary blade (the cutting bar), cylinder type mowers cut grass. These come together as the cylinder rotates, simulating a scissor-like cutting action that leaves the grass blades' ends level and crisp.
If used properly, the scissor-like cutting motion of cylinder cutters makes them superior to rotary cutters because it produces a more equal finish. Compared to a rotary mower, cylinder mowers require less maintenance; they occasionally need to be sharpened and require periodic adjustments to maintain the quality of the cut.
