When is the STIHL MS400.1 Coming out? 

The brand new STIHL MS400.1 Chainsaw was launched in May 2025. The older MS400 platform had been in redevelopment for a couple of years, and the new machine has gone through significant in-field testing across the globe before its launch.

The STIHL MS400.1 vs the STIHL MS462 is a slightly different comparison, as the MS462 goes up in power, and can also run up to a 25" bar, due to the increase in power.
