Re-use and Recycling is important at WGM
At WGM Ltd, keeping your garden and groundscare machinery running efficiently is only part of our mission. As a proud, independent local business and a certified BAGMA member, we believe true industry leadership means taking responsibility for our impact on the environment—both in front of the counter and behind closed doors.
That is why we are incredibly proud to share a major milestone from our ongoing sustainability efforts: last year alone, we successfully recycled just over 25 tonnes of cardboard.

Reducing Waste from the Ground Up
In the machinery industry, keeping a fully stocked showroom and an efficient workshop means handling a lot of logistics. From large equipment shipments to daily deliveries of genuine manufacturer spare parts, a massive amount of packaging passes through our doors every day.
For us, letting that material simply go to waste was never an option. By implementing strict internal sorting processes in our warehouse and workshops, our team managed to divert 25,000 kilograms of cardboard away from landfills and directly into the recycling stream.
Reduce, Reuse, and Then Recycle
While hitting the 25-tonne recycling mark is a fantastic achievement, our first line of defense against waste is always reuse.
Long before cardboard ever makes it to our recycling bins, we assess how it can serve our business a second or third time. Whenever you order parts from us or have equipment delivered, you will often find it safely packed in boxes and protective materials that we have purposely salvaged from our own inbound shipments.

By reusing packaging as and when we can within the daily operations of the business, we significantly lower our demand for new plastics and fresh cardboard, keeping our carbon footprint as small as possible.
Our Ongoing Commitment to a Greener Future
As we highlighted when sharing our strict BAGMA standards, operating ethically behind the scenes is woven into everything we do. Safely managing hazardous waste like engine oils and old batteries is an absolute priority for our workshop—and our dedicated cardboard recycling and packaging reuse initiative is the perfect extension of that mindset.
We want to say a huge thank you to our hardworking workshop and warehouse teams, whose daily dedication to separating materials made this achievement possible.
When you choose to buy from or service your machinery with WGM Ltd, you can do so with the peace of mind that you are dealing with a trusted, industry-leading service provider that cares deeply about the future of our local environment.
Here’s to breaking even more sustainability records this year!
